The vision

The vision of the project took into consideration the increase of the quality of life, by the development of the central area. The improvement of the local cultural level, the increase of the social level, as well as the intensification of the economic level have been the aspects followed during the entire project.

The mision

The mission by which all these will be put in practice takes into consideration the increase zonal architectural level, and, implicitly, the increase of the land value. Also, the creation of a unifying architectural element at urban level and the increase of the public space.

The program

The program serving the mission is a multifunctional cultural center, with exhibition spaces within the lobby, multiple halls, bookshop and bar. Also, the creation of an underground parking will relieve the central area from the cars parked on public space.

The concept

The proposal tries to contribute to the revitalization of the area, to the continuation of a pedestrian route, the development of the cultural atmosphere of the city.

Also, it intends to offer both to the inhabitants from the area and to the city in general, a wide green, relaxation area, for torrid summer days.

This is possible by a reinterpretation of the texture adjacent to the cinema, preserving the rhythm, the proportions and the character of the street.

Thus, the project aims at the revitalization of the architectural framework in the central area of the city, the expansion of the center and it proposes a scenario of future growth and a strategy for the development of the central area, so that the economic, cultural and social life in Rosiori may be improved.

It proposes a (hybrid) program for the increase in the number of functions within the cinema together with the rethinking of the neighboring texture, as well as its expansion, with two other united bodies at the first floor. This will be possible by the enunciation of a future development strategy, in public private partnership.

The opportunity of investing and developing the architectural objective proposed comes from the development of the locality from a cultural point of view, having multiple education facilities, a rich tradition, which supplied notorious Romanian writers, as well as other famous personalities.

At urban level, the proposal intends to expand the central area, to create an open square for the community and for the inhabitants from the neighboring inhabitations.

Also, it is intended the creation of new public functions, opened at the ground floor, which, together with the large show hall and with the cinema, would become a zonal point of attraction.

Among these we find the bookshop, the bar and the urban foyer, between which there are large spaces for the passage towards the outdoor public area, protected by the street.

At the first floor there are multiple spaces for rent, spaces for classes, continuation of the bookshop, two conference and projection halls, as well as a foyer which visually communicates on vertical both with the ground floor and with the 2nd floor.

At the 2nd floor there can be found the foyer, open towards the building's terrace and towards the multifunctional hall. This multifunctional hall, which can be used for various cultural activities, is one of the important facilities provided to the city.

Within the project there have been used sustainable principles, such as the use and storage of solar energy and the execution of green terraces
